Join us Wednesday, January 11th at 7pm for How to write a brilliant memoir (minus the crushing fear, doubt + overwhelm) with Nicole Breit and Rowan McCandless.

In this webinar co-hosted by award-winning authors Nicole Breit and Rowan McCandless you'll discover an approach to writing a memoir that can save you hours of time (and unnecessary stress). Learn how Rowan was able to overcome the challenge of revisiting vulnerable material as she wrote Persephone's Children. Nicole will share examples of non-traditional, rule-breaking memoirs that might just inspire you to tackle your book in an exciting new way.*

Nicole Breit is an award-winning essayist, poet, and writing instructor. Her work has been widely published in journals and anthologies including Brevity, The FiddleheadRoomHippocampusPithead Chapel, Event, Swelling with Pride: Queer Conception and Adoption Stories and Getting to the Truth: The Craft and Practice of Creative Nonfiction. Rowan McCandless writes from Treaty 1 territory. A finalist for the Governor General's Literary Award in nonfiction, Rowan’s debut memoir, Persephone’s Children: A Life in Fragments also co-won the Eileen McTavish Sykes Award for Best First Book (2022). Her writing has appeared in various anthologies and journalsLong listed for the Journey Prize, winner of the Constance Rooke CNF prize, gold winner with the National Magazine Awards, Rowan is the Creative Nonfiction editor with The Fiddlehead magazine.
