Member Exclusive Program: Another reason to join the Federation of BC Writers

We know that word of mouth and recommendations are some of the most compelling reasons to pick up a book. At the Federation of BC Writers, we are always looking for creative ways to help our members make a living from their craft.

The idea behind this program is to share the love; to share our favourite books and pieces from other members. Our marketing may be a little tongue-in-cheek, but we take this program seriously.

How does it work?

Members fill out the form found on this page (please sign in to access) and from there, tell us about the book or piece they want to share. We will ask a little about the author, why you recommend the book, and a little about you as the nominator.

Once we have all the data, our team will validate membership and follow up with any questions before we schedule the recommendation to appear in our readON newsletter, social media, and on our website. Not all recommendations will be accepted as we vet for the quality of the entry and current membership status of both the person submitting the nomination and the author being recommended. Lastly, as this is a scheduled program, it may take time for your entry to appear.
