Join us Wednesday, March 9th at 1pm for Wise Words - Elder Abuse: What is it? How do we deal with it? With Justin Lee of Seniors First BC.  This sessions are part of our Wise Words Program.  A unique writing and communication initiative for Seniors in all corners of our lovely province.  This program is Funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program.

This 90-minute workshop addresses the correlation between social isolation and abuse of older adults, types of abuse and people involved, and strategies to deal with abuse. We discuss the importance of staying connected to others through brainstorming community resources, and view a short video depicting a fictional story of social isolation and elder abuse
